Week 4 | Day 2 – HOW MUCH MORE – Romans 5:9-11

Paul’s “how much more” argument moves from what God has already done to what He will certainly do. If, while we were God’s enemies, we were justified by Christ’s blood and reconciled through His death, how much more will we now be saved from wrath and kept by His risen life. Our standing with God rests not in our goodness but in His finished work and living mediation—meaning the same grace that saved us sustains us and secures us forever. Thus, we boast in God—worshiping with confidence, because reconciliation has already been received.

APPLICATION

1 - Rest in a Settled Salvation

Our salvation secures both our earthly walk and our eternal future—the cross accomplished it, while the risen Savior preserves it.

2 - Stand in Imputed Righteousness

Our justification is based solely on Jesus’ finished work; His grace and mercy are credited to us—fully sufficient.

3 - Throwaway the Notion of Self-Maintenance

You did nothing to earn salvation and can do nothing to retain it. The same verdict God declared at justification empowers your daily pursuit of Jesus.

4 - Reject the idea that You have a License to sin and Pursue Holiness

Grace is not permission to sin; it is power—live each day in the strength of resurrection life to experience God’s will in and through you.

5 - Worship with Confidence

Let “we boast in God through Jesus” shape your prayers, your praise, and your posture toward every trial.

PRAYER

Lord, never let me take Your grace for granted or misuse it to satisfy the ambitions and appetites of my flesh. Thank You that, having justified me by Your blood, You now keep me by Your risen life. By the Holy Spirit, help me live for Your glory—seeking first Your kingdom and righteousness—so that Your will is done in me and through me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
