Week 7 | Day 2 – GOD IS FOR US – Romans 8:31-34
What does it mean to you that God is for you? Even more, how does such a statement impact your life? Truth is, there is nothing like being on the winning team—God's team. Yet even while on the winning team, there is still work to be done and hardships to face in this fallen world dealing with our-still-to-be-fully-redeemed flesh. There are challenges to overcome and hard work to be accomplished. There is growth to be had and surrender to be experienced. Nonetheless, because of the finished work of Jesus on the cross, we are blessed to walk in His victory.
APPLICATION
1 - Answer the Accusations with the Gospel
When your heart, others, or the enemy bring charges, reply: “It is God who justifies.” Stand on Christ’s finished work, not your fluctuating performance.
2 - Pray like Someone Who is Represented
Jesus is interceding for you. Bring specific needs boldly and expect the Father to “graciously give” what aligns with His will and your Christ-likeness.
3 - Work Hard without Fear
Being on God’s team doesn’t remove effort; it removes despair. Take the next obedient step—even through resistance—knowing opposition can’t overturn God’s verdict.
4 - Release Shame and Practice Repentance
There is nothing beyond the reach of the cross. Confess quickly, receive mercy deeply, and move forward freely—there is no condemnation in Christ.
5 - Mirror the Father’s Generosity
He did not spare His Son; so live open-handed with your time, attention, forgiveness, and resources for to see His Kingdom come and His will being done.
PRAYER
Jesus, thank You for Your finished work on the cross and for Your living intercession on my behalf. Father, since You did not spare Your own Son, teach my heart to rest in Your verdict and to ask boldly for what I need to become more like Christ. Free me from accusation and fear; strengthen me to work faithfully and live generously today. Thank You that when I was lost, You found me—and that You are always for me. In Jesus’ Name—Amen.
