Week 12 | Day 3 – GOING THE EXTRA MILE – Romans 15:22-33

Paul’s life was a portrait of someone who went “all in” for Jesus. Once a persecutor of Christians, he became the persecuted for the sake of the Gospel. From the Damascus Road to the Roman Road, his life was marked by relentless obedience and a willingness to go wherever God led him—to Jews, Gentiles, friends, and strangers alike. He didn’t serve out of sense duty but out of passionate, surrendered devotion. Paul reminds us that following Jesus is not about comfort or convenience but about commitment. Going the extra mile for Christ means putting His mission above our preferences, His kingdom above our comfort, and His calling above our convenience.

APPLICATION

1 - Live All-In for Jesus

Don’t give Jesus your leftovers or your leisure—give Him your best. Like Paul, be fully surrendered to God’s call, no matter the cost or the inconvenience.

2 - Choose Willingness Over Comfort

God doesn’t measure faithfulness by distance or difficulty, but by willingness. Whether it’s flying across the world or walking across the street—be ready to say “yes” when He calls. Set your default to “yes.”

3 - Listen Before You Leap

Being “busy for Jesus” isn’t the same as being obedient to Him. Make sure your service flows from His Spirit’s leading, not self-driven activity.

4 - Remember Those Who Went the Extra Mile for You

Reflect on the people who made personal sacrifices of time, comfort, and convenience so that you could know Christ and walk. Let their example inspire and stir you to do the same for others.

PRAYER

Lord Jesus, help me to be all-in for You. Forgive me when I choose comfort over calling or convenience over commitment. Open my ears to hear Your voice and my heart to obey Your prompting. Thank You for those who went the extra mile so I could know and walk with You. Strengthen me by Your Spirit to serve joyfully, give sacrificially, and live missionally. May I never grow weary or lose heart, but find joy in knowing that every mile I walk for You to serve, care, and share in Your name is worth it. Amen.
